Possible ebay scam. Your thoughts.

I found this auction for a 1909-S VDB in a rattler with CAC. This is included with the photos of the coin.

The coin is graded MS65RB and in the description it lists a buy it now price of $3,450.00.

Definitely against ebay rules but I think scam as well. What say you?

Yes, it is a scam and outside of eBay's rules. I believe this type of listing has been discussed before. The seller's account has been compromised and they are posting these listings with that description.

Same bay dealer has a number of gold $20s listed in a similar manner.

Prior sales are plush animals, blankets, socks, etc.

Suspect it is a hacked account.

    I've reported to eBay.
Of course, it is helpful when there are multiple reports.

Started another thread before I noticed this one. Definitely a scam and a hijacked account.

Same seller - here are their complete listings:

Hijacked account. Has several "1796 quarters" up as well, as well as a "1794 half dime".

"You can't get just one gun." "You can't get just one tattoo." "You can't get just one 1796 Draped Bust Large Cent."

This has been ongoing for months. There are various items under American coin silver -- the non "coin" kind -- that are listed repeatedly. Numerous complaints have been filed with no results. Its a pawn broker trying to get out from under.

Happens in every category. Could be a scam or just people trying to avoid ebay fees. Either way. They should be avoided and/or reported.

Undoubtedly a scam. This guy pops up every once in a while on different user accounts.

I am not a frequent user of ebay, so that is one scam I have not seen before. Thanks for flagging it... Cheers, RickO

Not in this one case. eBay frowns on being used as a showrooming site and, if legit, this is about as blatant as possible. I mean this is what you post if you want eBay to immediately take your listing down, if not close your account.

BTW, kudos to @ironmanl63 for copying and posting the pertinent part of the ad. Otherwise it would of a certainty disappear from eBay and be more difficult to warn others (the rest of us).
