Double clip legit? 1957 Dime

KurisuKurisu Posts: 2,196 ✭✭✭✭✭

Clips. I'm learning and enjoying, and maybe a tiny bit addicted.
So I'll put my guess out there...

I was leaning towards not legit. Seeing very little of the "tearing" at the cut.
And I'm a bit confused why there is a little dragged looking area along the edge of the large cut...but it's on both sides. In my head it makes sense why there would only be that dragged area along the cut on only one side...?

But seeing it up close I'm leaning towards legit...maybe.

Tough call - at least the obvious one is a clip,

The weakness seen opposite the clip, particularly on the larger one, looks correct. I’d say they’re legit.

Looks like an authentic clip to me... Very slight Blakesley effect, but it is there. Cheers, RickO

Legit. The smaller one appears to be a disc clip.
