First show in awhile. At least since Chicago's Big ANA Show in August. Mainly, going to Hunt down the super variety 2014 $5 Gold Eagle and hoping to Hunt down the 1878s Morgan Dollar "Long Nock" on the arrow, variety. Two, that carry very high premiums. Along with enjoying that great "Coin Show" atmosphere.
I'll clue you guys in later, if interested.
Thanks
;)

Morgan$ 1878s variety

If you're looking for long nock 1878-S Morgans, look at lower circulated grades, G-VF.

I got an 1878S long nock from a dealers basket of coins on his counter years ago for $8 and sold it at the Boston coin show a few months later for $570. Good luck Joey. 85 tables BUT how many dealers?

Those coin show listings of the number of tables indicate how many tables are available. Its a pure guess as to how many will be occupied.

We look forward to multiple show reports.... Please include commentary and pictures of relevant issues. i.e. bullion movement, acquisitions, sales, hot dogs, mustard quality (Grey Poupon?)... etc. Cheers, RickO

I may try to unloose my Toner Gem at the show?
Do you guys think I can get what I'm asking?
    $300?

    Thanks.

No. Just take what you can get and be rid of it before it starts costing you money. Toning on the reverse only just doesn't have the draw of toning on the obverse.

    All glory is fleeting.

This show is a shell of it's former self. I was there about a month ago and there were maybe 20 Dealers. Some selling stamps, some un affiliated books etc. I guess I'm spoiled with THE ANA show.

    Just got back!
Not too bad for a smaller show. Many familiar faces. Yes, I did take my 1900o Toner.
No takers for my asking price, $300.
One however, did say he's a buyer at $200. I didn't bite. Sold 26 "W" quarters. All assorted. Not my best conditioned ones. $9 apiece. Going back tomorrow. Maybe I'll go back with his offer?
    Cherry picked a few items!

A Quick funny story what happened at today's show.
While hunting for the Morgan 1879s, " rev. Of 1878s. Big money in decent grades.
I came across a high grade in the variety!
Couldn't believe it. I actually found one!
However, when I checked the date on the coin, it was the 1878s! The owner had written on the flip for the 1879s.
    Mannnnn! :D

Just purchased, literally, 1 minute ago.
    Wow!
The 1979p Mint bag of 100.
"WIDE Rims" baby. Only for $120, too.

    In ms 67 grades= $1900!

    Worse case scenario;

    NO varieties. But...
    BU's and
Cash in for $100. Only a $20 loss. Plus, I get to keep a cool original mint bag.

I like the Liard. They're not easy to find graded. A good start on "foreign used in the US prior to 1857" type.

Good for you! No way that’s worth $200 with only reverse toning and raw 🙂

Agreed, $200 is about 4x it's worth. Good job to the seller. RGDS!
