Custom Book Ends

I have meager but expanding set of books in numis-library. I had just been stacking them one on top of another for sometime now.
I didn't like the pile, so I made a set of custom book ends for my small library.
I took some scrap metal and used horse shoes then sandblasted, welded, painted, added felt pads to the bottom, then attached the fantasy coins to them.
I think it turned out alright, the books are much easier to grab now.

i liked them on their own BUT since you actually made them, i REALLY like them now.
in my life i must have considered buying 100 different pairs of books ends from all kinds of places and to-date, i have yet to purchase a single set.
perhaps i'm just destined like you, to just make my own set one day.
They turned out great!! Nicely done!! 👍🏻 👍🏻

Nice job.
Make more and sell?
very nicely done!
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
That's awesome! Job well done!
Love em!
@Dug13... That is nice work... I like them. I have not used book ends, since the shelves on my entire wall bookshelves are self limiting. However, if I saw a set like that, I would likely buy it. Cheers, RickO
Great job!!! The horseshoes alone would be good, but you went even further!!!!
Awesome job!

Those are a great example of practical recycling! I've had some of those fantasy "coins" and didn't find a use for them, but you nailed it with those. Edited to add: I went back to look again since I liked 'em so much and noticed that you used the penny to twenty theme as well. Cool!
