Unc. Buffalo nickel from show today

Just looked nice with a light blue tint. Seller had 3 more. Looked like they just come out of the same roll. grade it if you like.

    What’s the black around the rear legs of the buffalo?

    Buffalo body looks to have spots all over it too

    Trying to determine if this is a details environmental damage coin

    I was wondering the same. I was guessing fingerprint remnant.

    Other question is what is the ancient coin in the background behind the buffalo?

    I’m guessing the luster is more prominent than shown, and ngc diminished the impact of the speckles, etc. 65 shot 66.
    My mistake, I thought it was already in an ngc holder.

    I believe that nickel is a good candidate for conservation. MS70 may work well.

    The black marks almost look like mildew. I don't like the Buffalo but I do like the ancient.

    Those little specks can’t be seen without magnification. I have seen specking like this from coins out of original paper rolls. I think 65 is a lock but I do have coin in hand. If anybody wants to include it on a submission I am in. 😀

    @darktone... Nice nickel.... Not sure about the darkness around the Buffalo legs, looks strange. Otherwise, might go 64, 65.... Cheers, RickO
