Forget the damage focuse on the 1976 D and the triangle in the center of the image suggesting the letter A.
Also the hair style is not a factor.
Are there any others reported ?

All I can see is environmental damage. If you are seeing a letter "A" (I do not), then you are letting your mind play tricks on you.
Take it to your bank and ask for a new one.
Do you have any coins that aren't corroded?
