How much are you willing to pay for low serial numbered silver?

Check out the prices above the "regular" premiums for these coming out next week! Since they are haunted/Halloween/Rip related, I'm kind of surprised that the biblical reference to the number of the beast that seems to scare a whole lot of people isn't the most expensive! Perhaps they missed an opportunity to make and even bigger profit!

    These have not interested me. However, there certainly are collectors out there, and low serial numbers are often a subset for collectors. Cheers, RickO

    I have some low serial numbered bars...
    I usually won’t pay much premium unless I like the bar.

    Thanks for the replies. I collect jersey numbered parallels of certain players in sports cards, but will typically not pay too much over the going rate for a different number depending on the card and player. To me, that number connects to that player. IF I was to decide to buy this, I certainly would be okay with paying $65.00 and getting a random number than paying more than double for #003!

    I know that there are lots of silver bar collectors and that they are willing to pay such premiums, but that's not for me. I have a hard time justifying much premium for new issue coins these days. Too many issues commemorating too many obscure and arbitrary things.

    Id pay a bit more for an Engelhard bar but otherwise I wouldn't but there are many that pay up.

    I agree with @rte592 . Modern bars, especially those intentionally made to be collectible, don't interest me.
    Engelhard, JM, and the other early refiners didn't add serial numbers to entice buyers. Their bars weren't supposed to be collected, and the serial numbers were just mundane artifacts of their manufacture. Finding early pristine bars with a low serial number, an interesting serial number, or consecutive numbers adds something to the bars. But ironically, because it's unintentional and organic.

    low numbered bars are a collector item. I'm a stacker, they have no additional value to me.

    I'd pay <10% spot for any bar regardless of the serial number. Spot -5% for BU 90%, spot for ASEs, Maples, Libertads. Kooks, etc.
