  No pictures, but I have many bird stories of my wild friends in the Southern tier here at my cabin. There are mostly Chickadees, Hummingbirds, Woodpeckers, Juncos and a Fly-catcher family.
  Earlier this Summer I had gone out on the porch on a Sunday morning. There was a little female hummingbird trying to get a drink at the feeder. She was being hounded by a couple of bees that were trying to prevent her from getting the nectar. Hummingbirds must know what bees are because she kept running from them. I chuckled at the sight and went about the morning.
  Later that afternoon, I was on the porch doing some computer work. My back was to the feeder, it was about 2 feet behind me. Well, that little female comes flying over and hovers about a foot in front of my face, about 6 inches above my eye level.
  "What do you want?", I ask her. She continues to hover about another 10 seconds and then flies behind me to the feeder. I turn around and see her hovering above the feeder and I see three bees on it. I'm thinking, how smart is that? She's
  thinking, "This guy will help me out".....Well, I went in and got a rubber band and dispatched the bees. I've developed a bit of an allergy to bees late in life, so I don't need them around anyway.
  It never ceases to amaze me how smart birds are.......

  Got a few people in my life who are bird lovers and owners...
  Is there a chance that Mango is just out there having some adventures before maybe just showing up again?!
  Recently had someone's parrot in here in the Denver area show up at someone else's house

  I had an interesting hummingbird experience this summer. One was making constant trips to the feeder and it started chirping up a storm.

  I had no idea that hummingbirds made noise but I checked the Interweb and sure enough they do on occassion.
