New Peace dollar, comments welcome

My latest GC auction win is a colorful 1923 Peace dollar, a common date with some uncommon color in MS66+. This is my third MS66+ in the Peace dollar series and I've noticed that while the luster is muted on the previous two, the frost and original skin are thick and clean. Feel free to comment and thanks for taking a look.

Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

One of the prettiest Peace dollars I've ever seen.

    Ummmm
I am having trouble finding the beauty ( best I’ve ever seen). My personal opinion is it’s ugly. Sorry, I am known for liking AT over NT. I just don’t enjoy that speckled look. 😉🦫🙀

I think it looks great, and in-line with what’s believable for a toned Peace dollar.

Looks nice. Is the TV accurate?

Thanks, we'll see. It should come later this week... generally the TV is fairly accurate with toned Peace dollars, though a few are a bit darker than what the TV shows sometimes...

    Nice peripheral toning. Pretty coin.

I like it. I didn’t see it (probably higher than my price filter).
I won a 1923 in MS64 (old NGC holder) on GC. Hopefully we’re both really happy by the end of the week!

Nice, yet not too fond of the peripheral toning progression from the other rims but feel it may just be the True-View being off.

Do you have your own pics or GC's to post?

I think it looks spectacular and would be happy to own it. As an aside, my first reaction when I saw the toning pattern and quality was to recall how so many coins looked in the mid-1990s before AT got more sophisticated and widespread.

Now that you mention that it does look like one of the old non pronged NGC cert number 314 series "Leather Pouch" hoard peace dollars.

Coin is nice! I collect mostly untoned examples (harder than you think) but that is a nice coin at a 66+

Excellent grade on that Peace Dollar, however, the dark, actually black, tarnish is a turn off for me. I like the bright, clean, as minted look. Cheers, RickO
