The "Overpolished" 1926s Peace Dollar

Hi guys,
Many of you might know, I purchased this beauty at the recent ANA Coin Show, in Chicago. Have never known anything about this VAM Dollar previously.
When I seen it in the case, my eyes couldn't believe that the conservative PCGS graders would actually give this a Straight grade! The appearance is so, so obvious of the "Overpolishing" at K11 - K7 on the Obverse, it's almost ridiculous. Lol
However, they signify it still. Even having the VAM is also amazing. That's why I just had to have it! There are actually two VAMS for this "Overpolishing" coin.
After further reviewing this coin, the population is also interesting. Although, understandable seeing, not too many graded by PCGS. I see only 3 in my grade category. Sure, my coin is NOT technically designated by the VAM. But will soon be when I send it in to our host!
Like the seller had told me, " this coin is up and coming!"

if you think your coin is the 3B, the vam guys at vamworld may apprecaite a full set of obv/rev images for the page since there are none.
looking over the list, there are numerous overpolished obv/rev vams for the date/mm but only a couple attributable by pcgs based on the pops. i didn't audit which one are list coins that may not be in the pops yet, if any.
Yeah, I agree. There should be more photos. Yes, I do believe mine is the 3b.

Cool coin that at first looks like someone took an eraser to it. It looks like VAM 3B. Nice premium on it, too based on last December's sale, so that's a nice pick! I would add pictures to VAMWorld if sent to me for a label.

The S mintmark on your coin looks kinda high. Usually it's close to the tail.
Mintmarks on the 1926-S Cents are also all over the place. They must have had a newby training on punches.

Many 26-S varieties specify a mint mark placed too high. Curiously, this is not the case for 26-D.
