1884-O Morgan candidate for cleaning/conservation?

I am sending this 1884-O Morgan in with some other Morgans for grading. Should I ask for "conservation" to try and remove tarnish on edge?

    Not worth it. I sent one in similar situation. I would have come out better buying a slabbed one that I wanted.

    Probably not? I don't know the series well but this looks to be 63/64, maybe PL? I'm sure my betters will correct me as necessary.

    Am I correct in saying that is a <$100 coin? I'm not sure I would even slab it much less conserve it.

    A quick look at eBay would seem to indicate that for about the cost of slabbing + conservation, you could buy an already slabbed piece.

    Not worth it. It will not make a difference in the value or grade of the coin.

    @isamucoinandcurrency.... I would say it is not worth conserving or slabbing .... Do an album of Morgans, it will look nice in there. If a slab is important, buy one already slabbed. Cheers, RickO

    Thanks @ricko I have a lot of raw duplicate Morgans that I will probably send to ANACS for their Summer Special. They are low dollar coins that will go to ebay. At $10 per coin for slabbing it makes it easier to list them. Blessings.

    IMO if you want the edge toning removed your best option is to give it a quick dip yourself. I would leave it as-is though, I don't think it looks bad.
    Grade-wise I think it looks like a pretty typical MS63.

    @ChrisH821 I went and bought some acetone and I am going to try a quick dip on a damaged coin with similar toning just to see the effects.

    The edge toning looks fine and gives it an aura of originality, which should make it sell better.

    Acetone doesn't remove toning.
