Does anyone know what is going on with this 1998-D dime?

I found this in my pocket change awhile back. Why does it look like this? It's a strange color and it seems like there's another coin or multiple strikes. Thought I'd post it and see what others think

    Dirt. No hint whatsoever of multiple strikes.

    Wow, I'm surprised they approved Satan666 as a username. As far as the dime, it just looks a bit beat up. Maybe it's the lack of image clarity but I'm having a hard time reading the surface.
