PCGS has straight-graded just 7 of these in all grades.

    • In about 16 years of watching eBay and various auction houses I have only seen 1 example become available for purchase – the PCGS AU53 coin. It sold for $6,100 on eBay last year.

    • About 14 years ago I resigned myself to the reality I would never own one – and then last year the author of "FUN With 1921" offered to let me trade some stuff for his.

It is my one and only details coin, but I'm thrilled to one of the few VAMers who can raise their hand when the question "Who has one of these?" is asked.

    When in doubt, don't.
