There have been a few of these on the boards lately. Here's a circulated pair, one acquired recently and the other many years ago.

Edited: Whatever the grades, that’s a nice looking Classic pair. I’ll guess 40, 40.

    It's in the title. :)

I would enjoy owning both of those - very nice.

Go with 40/40 but could see 45 on the 2.5 depending on in-hand look.

They look about XF 40 to me, I have a raw '34 that looks very similar. Great color on those.

Recently got this almost matching '34 at Central States. I think yours is a little nicer - so I'll guess 40 as well.

35 & 40 respectively, although with that look the 5$ would be called a 45 by many

Lovely early gold, Bryce. Great examples.

I think PCGS got it just right.

Very nice and yes Classic Head coinage has gotten very expensive in the last year or so. Add CAC and it’s very expensive.

You might want to consider that your guesses represented dramatic differences from all of the other ones. And that the large majority of posters were in very close agreement regarding the grades.

Yes, I should have followed the crowd.

I can see how the plastic prongs from the PCGS holder could be interpreted as rim damage from a jewelry mount.

Apart from that, if you’d been watching here for a few years you’d know that I don’t often post problem coins. :)

Maybe you thought he was trying to trick people like your last GTG! I didn't say anything but there is no way the 1st picture was cropped from the 2nd without some photoshopping involved! :p

AMWLD. I only have a cell phone Why don't you lighten up on yourself. You blew it on both coins so stop it. You graded one a F15 and the crowd went along the coin turned out to be a VF 25 CAC yeah CAC VF 25.

How you figured the first one to be a possible EF 40 was beyond me.

No, I don't know that, as a matter of fact they were my guesses and I didnt' consider who posted them.

I remember thinking the first coin obverse was thumbed so to speak. aka opine.

    They were my Guesses

Compare these 2 coins to your 1st picture! I will lay down a substantial wager if you want to challenge me to an in person grading contest!

I have no problem picking out the coins you handle they all look alike. The bottom one would be your listing. Lighting in the same place on all coins .

What exactly do you hope to gain ? You blew it on both GTG You can't live with your opinion. Hello! It was your opinion. Just not the grading services.

LOL! They were both mine and the pictures were taken under the same light and settings! I want you to admit you pulled IMHO a major deceptive GTG! How you could hide the hairlines and change the color on your 1st-2nd coin is beyond me if they are the same pictures with the 1st being enlarged! I didn't blow any thing in my mind!

I didn't do any such thing and you embarrassed yourself. You are the one beating yourself up. I'm not. You blew it so what?

All your coins on eBay have the same lighting. "Your listing" is what I retorted.

PS Coin Paesan has nicer coins

Oh yes, and another thing " it's beyond you" I believe a lot of things are beyond you.

Whatever! Unless you change your pictures in your GTG all is here for others to see!

PS Why are you trying to buy my coins? After this exchange I seriously doubt you will buy a coin from me again.

You hijack a thread on your mistake from 3 days ago. Sshhh

Give yourself a break, be kind to yourself, its okay . Its all gonna be alright, this too shall pass.

    Ssssshhhhh quiet the mind
breathe thru your nose fill ur abdomen, on a count of eight slowly thru pursed lips breath out.
Relax, you blew it, but its Okay now. Ssshhhh

First @BryceM Sorry for the hijack. This will be my last reply to Soldi. I thought my retort matched his guesses here. Below are the 2 pictures he used. I just looked closely and I say no way they are the same coin, much less 1 cropped from the other photo! What do you and everyone else think?

Soldi....yes you made an offer that was rejected!
