looking for some help pricing a few vams.
i listed a pcgs 1921 ms66 vam 3f4 pitted reverse on the bst for $950. hopefully some vam expert will read this and tell me if thats a fair asking price or not. the attribution is not on the holder. pcgs has only 5 in this grade as piitted reverse and i know for sure theres no other 3f4 in this group.

idk off the top of my head if that is a list coin or not but if it is attributed on the holder, it becomes MUCH more marketable but there are people that buy them w/o the attribution. getting a VSS attribution sticker goes a LONG way too.
there may not be many/any in the pops due to lack of value and/or the few people wanting such a coin needing it to be attributed. the experts usually forego the attribution on the label for their registry sets (not pcgs registry).
Vam is what again?

.
after it was brought to my attention, i agree with AUandAG, that vam doesn't appear to exist. did you make a typo?
ANACS has 32 of them listed; none in 66. The 1921 in 66 is $850 per PCGS price guide. Is the 3f4 worth $100? With an R7 rarity, it might be. Your personal guarantee of attribution is rather weak tho...

go to vamworld and and scroll down to 1921. open it up and the varieties will be listed. there are numerous pitted die reverses. it is the 3f4. ive ben collecting varieties for 20 plus years so i know my stuff. like ive said before i use to sell on here with the handle speedemon but for some unknow reason i can recover it. i had all good transactions. no problems whatsoever.
i sell on ebay as futuremarine2011. i have some varieties listed alongside my other merchandise. be selling on ebay 12 years. i have a lot more varieties that havent even been listed
glad that got cleared up. i find it when i search 3f4. not in the place i thought it would be.
i'll add some info if no one else does but i'm in the middle of some things just now. have this thread bookmarked.
@marine2011
i saw a pcgs ms65+, an icg ms66
i see on the 1921 p vam page that 3f1, f2, f3 are Hot 50 vams which i think means pcgs should attribute them? i am still under the impression they do list coins but my info may be out of date and i don't trust the variety page to be up to date here.
heritage has sold some long ago - you need to be signed in.
ebay 3f4 sold
vamworld bst
ngc has 2 in ms64 attributed
pcgs doesn't appear to have any attributed (still in the pops)

I am not a VAM person so I have never checked this for accuracy. But I have thought that the VAM's that PCGS attributed were the ones on the CF page under the 'show related coins and varieties' just above the start of the prices.
Let me know if true or not (out of curiosity).

i do recall seeing you post something about that a couple/few times. i personally wouldn't use any page other than the pop reports as pages have a way of not being updated, including CF. (i do very much enjoy CF for many other reasons)
that CF may be up-to-date but i really don't know of any way that is 100% always up-to-date unfortunately. even the pops may not be 100%. it is at their discretion to add/remove listings as they desire and never tell us until we submit coins and find out that our money has been wasted. harsh but true. if you find from experience that the CF pages are the way to go, then so be it. pcgs and attributions has always been an peculiar business, especially the more modern a coin is. stuff centered around vams, abraded dies and a couple others can be a crap shoot.
i'm still under the impression they'd attribute any list coin but after viewing the pop reports, i doubt this is accurate and probably hasn't been for some time. hope it helps.
fwiw, you posted about a peace dollar and the OP was asking about a morgan unless you were just posting that page as an example.
i did just remember, once you learn to navigate the CF pages and get the pages like this one - https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/category/dollars/peace-dollar/type-1-high-relief/856 - it lists out a lot of varieties/marriages/strike types etc.
or you can start at the beginning here https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts

Thanks for the info on the VAM listings. Like I said I am not a VAM person but just always assumed that those were correct. Looks like it could be a bad assumption if not kept up to date.
I just messed up and posted the wrong page. Did not double check it (not a VAM person). Was just posting the page for reference of where the VAM link was in CF.
Thanks
