The Jefferson 1975d High ''D"
hi guys,
through all my CRHunting, never was able to track down this Nickel variety. Well, until NOW!
Here is the comparison.
Normal D
1975d High D
Unfortunately, my new highly sought after variety.
Is in very, very bad condition. It even has a rim ding.
Oh well, it's ok. Still very satisfying.
I seen an NGC XF graded one go for $750.
Keep on hunting. They're out there!
Thanks

Look again at the CoinWorld photo. See how the upper left corner of the D almost touches the triangular part of the queue (pony tail)?
Now, look again at where your D is.
Yeah, you're right dude, thanks.

It's Rosanne Rosanadana.

Thanks Joey… Now I gotta go look at all my damn nickels - good job bro
Does this mean the top pick is a low D.
I have a box of the 1970's that I need to sort, gives me one more thing to watch out for. I have two more unopened bank boxes of nickels to open as well. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers.
If you ever do find the real thing ... you know what I am going to say ... SELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not same, the rare one is the very high d ,
I better put a note in my large jar of nickels.... otherwise I will not remember this one when I get around to searching them.

Darn! I have to find some of these.
dangit. i was JUST about to head to the banks and empty out their nickel rolls when i read this:
"I will repeat this offer — for the first person from whom I buy such a coin in the next 60 days I will put up $1,000."
THEN i saw the date on the article!
