I know most of you have probably seen this before, but I just have to pile in and say WOW! I am not a big commemorative fan, but many of these coins are absolutely drool worthy. I wonder, in todays market, if they could piece this out at a big auction house and make a killing.

I would only prefer colorful tarnish on coins if I were selling them. There is an incredible profit margin in environmental damage on coins. Cheers, RickO

That is a beautiful set. I'm not into commemoratives but I can appreciate the work that went into it.
I don't really understand who will be the buyer for the intact set though. You spend $2M and you get the #2 slot. The #1 set appears to be essentially unimprovable so you will never move up (unless #1 retires). There's certainly no feeling of accomplishment in just buying a complete set.
