Hello, Joshua here. I believe this to be a clipped planchet, hesitant though

Welcome to the forum!
Wow! That looks like a 100% clip..... I can't see any of the original coin.
Hell sir, i don't think I've been approved to post photographs yet
Look forward to seeing it when you get approved.
You should be able to post a link to your photos if they are on an image hosting site.

Until you can post pics, here is some good info on clips. This should help you determine if it's a true error, or just someone having fun with a grinder.

Thanks. What would you say is the verdict on this
Unquestionably real. Worth a dollar or two.
Genuine straight clip with the Blaksley effect, worth a couple to a few dollars.
Looks like a blakesley effect to me. Nice find!

why does the straight clip look like as thought it is trying to pretend to be a clamshell?
I like it.
It’s an end of strip clip that’s why it’s unfinished on the edge
Interesting cent and thanks @FredWeinberg for that clarification. I was wondering the same thing about the 'split' visible at the clip. Cheers, RickO
Unlike me to be this late to a clip party but as others have said, it's a genuine end of strip clip.

Now for the rest of the story...
OP - did you find this in change?
Nice one.
