90% Junk Silver Find

I had to sell all my silver a few years ago, so we are starting all over again
This group of 90% silver was a great buy at $28.00 Canadian I was really happy to find it.
There is a nice 1918 S Mercury on the top second from the right

coins like this are common to have green (pvc) or other on them. with a control base not showing any green, i HIGHLY recommend acetoning any coins you want to keep, especially long-term as it will end up destroying the value. (if they don't already have surface damage from it) and lets not forget the horrible smell that usually accompanies the green coin sludge.

nice buy and fun to see a neighbor to our north buying u.s. silver coins there!

There is something about the "look" of the 1918-S I just don't like. Is it possibly a recent counterfeit?
