Thanks to the ancients who gave us 3.14 as the value of Pi, we can today know the area of our disc shaped coins by application of the formula, Pi-radius--squared.

    OK, to add to the Pi Day theme. This circular shaped "Pie in the Sky" appeared over the nearby mountains. Anyone for Green Cheese Pie?

    You are thinking of March 14. Pi day is March 14 since the number for Pi is 3.14. This offers a great opportunity for businesses to give some great deals, especially in the foodservice industry! I found some helpful info on Pi Day here!

    I prefer pizza pie....I understand them as large, small and bar pie.... I have not computed their area, since I depend on my appetite to guide me in ordering. :D;) Cheers, RickO
