    Wild guess, George Sisler, St. Louis Browns.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Patrick Ewing......it's one of the reasons he never won a ring. In his prime the Knicks did not surround him with another potent offensive weapon. This could be a trick question as Ewing played with Payton and McGrady when he left the Knicks.

    Half the team was HOFers when Williams started.

    I can't think of anyone. Brett may be the closest, although it wouldn't surprise me if someone from the 19th century fit the bill.

    Kaline was close. Eddie Matthews for one year and Jim Bunning for a few as a pitcher

    Taylor had Harry Carson who was a great player. I honestly believe Taylor was the greatest defensive player ever.

    I don't know if one exists. I thought I had one with Mitch Richmond but he played his last season with the Lakers and Shaq. Tough one Goldenage!

    So I went though rosters of all his seasons and you are correct! I think he may be the only one in sports history. The closest to a HOF on those Lions teams he was on is K Jason Hanson who is in the college HOF but not the NFL HOF.

    We do appear to have a winner. When I tried to think of a baseball player who fit the bill, I avoided recent players since they may well have had teammates that just aren't in the HOF yet. Granted, with Sanders that's a distinction of relatively minor importance, but he did play with Lomas Brown, as fine a left tackle as you'll find, tied for the most career games played by an offensive lineman, and who would fit nicely in the HOF.

    Brown was absolutely HOF-caliber. There aren't many 7x Pro Bowl players not in the Hall.

    Brown has said he feels he's been kept out of the Hall because he played for Detroit, despite Calvin Johnson and Barry Sanders getting in.

    Others have said Brown has been kept out because he admitted* intentionally allowing sacks on Scott Mitchell.

    *** - The claim is dubious. Video evidence and stat sheets don't back up what Brown said.
