I’ve always liked these classic Portuguese designs. This one was not frightfully expensive. It is coming from NEN.

NGC MS65.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

    Pretty!

    I had the bronze cheap 20 centavos with this obverse design, and from a Portuguese colony if I recall correctly, it’s been 15 years now, I probably still have it somewhere , as it was coming from another Darksider and these coins I treasure them.

    There are some very attractive 20th century Portuguese coins that should attract more attention.

    This coin is one of my favorite Portugal Republic coins:

    These coins were struck in 1914.
