well there is NO way those of us visiting this thread should come and go w/o posting just 1 of our favorites either from the vid or the collection in general. i haven't watched it all yet and the 1797 Half was a contender along with a couple of those Master Coin large cents (i hope the eac member inside me forgives me) but i'll just take it easy and settle on this baby!

it is the max resolution and i take no responsibility if you are injured in any way while viewing it it its' maximum size pleasure.

It's a long video at over an hour but worth the watch.

I have been speeding up longer videos to save time. Most can still be absorbed at 1.5 to 1.75 times normal speed for me. Did this one at 1.75x in the settings. Plus you can always go back and watch a segment slower if needed.

hmm. the 1804 $1 (34?) is obviously an amazing coin(s), controversy notwithstanding, but taking the financials out of the equation is how i was attempting to make my choice and i didn't have the discipline to make it all the way through the video before sharing one of the favs and there were MANY; despite this not being near the first time this set has been shared here.

i really like the ya, umm, graf ASG edge hand-engraved? UHR. it would be neat if we had some more pieces like that from the designers/engravers. not a lot mind you, just a couple few from each year/type. maybe they'd be less special, perhaps more? a rather modern piece by the standards of the top coins in the collection.

first-year type (or even just 18th century) for out country in SP (master coins in gem surviving condition) is nothing short of extraordinary so that had some strong influence of what to choose as my pseudo-fav this time. would probably be a different coin in a different thread. (it was just an excuse to get people hopefully posting some of these seemingly unreal specimens)

perhaps a top 2-3 would be more effective but then again, we're not chopping fingers off here if people do post more.

gotta love a collection where someone can even jokingly refer to the 1799 $1 as modest by comparison to the top coins. - what a coin!!! (wonderful slab shot)

i didn't watch the last few minutes after JD was done but i wondered what was there. nice find.
