Hey, It's Friday, Post some Dreck!

1979, Very good year for me as a budding numismatist.
Most do not like the SBA design, I for one have a soft spot for them, especially the Wide Rim...
Found this PCI on ebay and couldn't resist.
'In Through the Out Door' was also released in '79, I was a very happy camper, ahhh the good o'le days...

    This example was a gift from my late Mom, she kept it in her 'lock box'. She received in change and kept it, number of years later she gave it to me,

    The SBA is not one of my favorites... Though, for some reason, I have a 'box' of them....not a lot, but somehow accumulated a bunch - I think from a change machine at the Post Office...I have not even checked for near/far dates...Cheers, RickO

    A while ago a comment was made referring to 'low end' coins as 'dreck'.
    I for one don't see any of the SBA's in this thread as dreck, they are very nice examples.

    Not to me, I collect what I like. SBA's being one of them...

    Not super rare, not so common either,
    finally picked one up, 1981 Souvenir Set.

    Sometime mid 90's the US Mint sold a number of these sets, I placed a mail order but was to late. The Mint issued a refund check, I still have it.

    Yes. Parody knock offs = dreck to me, but apparently this is a new design and I was wrong on that part.
