1907 Double Eagle High Relief - wire edge

What effect to the overall grade does gaps/missing in areas of the wire edge have on the overall grade of the coin. Assume the rest of the coin is great. Looking for some input….,thanks in advance.

As long as the mentioned areas aren’t due to post-strike damage, none.

I am guessing post strike damage….

I don’t think so as the wire edge has no short gaps missing,,,,tend to be longer.
@Herb_T... A picture of the coin and magnified view of the affected area would really help. Cheers, RickO
As stated, you will have to post a picture for any kind of grading advice.

A folded over 'fin' (wire edge) doesn't hurt the grade as much as I thought it would.
Due to my obsession with edges, I'd probably have to buy a flat HR even though they are more rare/costly.
Watch out for filed rims. Those are sometimes harder to pick out than you might think.
The prongs on NGC coins can hide a lot.
