Wow! It would be fun to display my type set next to that one. Fun for me, anyway. Gorgeous coins, mine are only shames.
Given how big of a draw these coins, does a show like Long Beach pay Tyrant to display these coins at the show?
I hope the owner would not put a burden like that on a show. Anyway, if I was the owner, I think I would have enough dollars lying around to afford whatever it took to protect it and move it. Maybe, a friendly cup of coffee.
I am glad that owners of these great collections or just super special coins do put them on display at major shows. It gives the collecting public a chance to view coins that most will never own, and would not see otherwise. Cheers, RickO
As if the Tyrant collection is not amazing enough, I love what the Tyrant has done with his Type set. For most types, he has 4 examples of the type. One is proof and one is a circulation example in Mint State. Further, where possible one example of each is an untoned coin and the other is a toned example. Wow!
I saw the collection at the ANA last summer. Well worth the trip there. The coins are amazing and the display set up is great for viewing the coins. If you get the chance, go see it.
