Grade Revealed

Picked up this vintage Peace dollar coin last night from the Great Collections auction. I paid a bit more, but I think I got a bit more, too. It should arrive sometime tomorrow or Wednesday. How'd I do?

Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

I'm no expert on these, but my initial impression was 64. Sorry if I lowballed it.

EDIT: I'll raise my guess to 65. Not sure if those are marks (or toning) at the base of the jaw, but there are enough hits to the eagle that I can't go higher even though the luster looks very strong.

65 was my first thought. How is the luster, the photos make look a bit muted?

Tough call... If I was submitting it I would expect it to come back in a 65 holder of some flavor.

Problem is you want us to grade True Views pictures - not your real coin in hand

Yes, I am asking that. I don't have the coin yet, and I wanted to share my purchase. I'll be sure to post the coin in-hand and at that time you can check back in with your guess!

    I’m thinking 65 or better.
    How about 66.
Needless to say that toning on these is very rare and this one is exceptional.

    The grade is....

    MS66+ CAC

Excuse the poor pictures. The TrueView pix are very accurate and the coin is quite lustrous & very striking.

Nice example of a 1925! I like the luster, almost looks like a 1924.
