Not sure what direction I should go with this coin.... not sure this is even a discovered error recorded and think it might be really valuable.... any opinions or advice would be appreciated...

    Could be worth big bucks ... or, more likely, just another damaged cent that is worth one cent.

    Looks like a lamination. Pretty big one, but you're probably not going to be able to retire just yet.

    I do know this is not a damaged coin and is a lamination error from the mint... that being the case should I sale raw or get graded?

    Pretty nice lamination. But not sure if it is worth getting slabbed.. not sure you would be able to sell for enough to justify it.

    While it is a nice example of a deep lamination error, the value is probably $10 or less. Having it encapsulated will not change that.

    All sage advice. Lamination flaws are interesting but don't command big premiums. IMO. Good luck. Roy

    Very nice (de) lamination. Looks like it peeled away after the strike. It's actually a type of planchet flaw from having dirt/debris rolled into the coin metal stock.

    It is a genuine error, however getting it graded would cost more than what it is worth.

    Nice example of a lamination but not worth slabbing. Laminations are not very popular and are more properly classified as defective coins rather than errors. Someone on eBay just might pay about $30 for it on a good day. Value is speculative.

    @Ryan1111 .... Welcome aboard. Yes.. delamination is obvious. Not a high value coin... would be more expensive to submit for slabbing. Good pictures...Cheers, RickO
