BIN listing just ended... Up for only a few minutes.
Can't tell based on the crappy pics. I think it looks like a fake to me. Opinions ??? Thanks !!!

The thing that amazes me is that after all this time fakes like this still sell for significant amounts in online sales venues.

With a BIN of $1200 or best offer, someone unfortunate, decided it was too good to be true to snatch it up within a minute after it was listed. LOL !!!

Even with those fuzzy photos, you can see that the 1 isn't centered on a dentil.

There are other die characteristics that can be used to authenticate the 1893-S dollar. Go to the PCGS Coin Facts web site where they show pics of these diagnostic features. One that I use is a diagonal die polish line inside the T in LIBERTY at the juncture of the upright and the cross bar of the T.

In the fairly unlikely event I ever buy this king of coins, it will CERTAINLY be in a slab. Now, how to avoid the fake slabs!

Or in this case, you can look at the entire obverse and reverse and see that the detail and texture don’t really resemble that seen on genuine Morgan dollars.😉

Maybe somebody playing the odds; buy it real quick, and on the off chance it is real, you have a bargain. If it is fake, you return it through eBay policy. Stupid game. 😠

The easiest Morgan to authenticate, as only 100k were struck using just one obverse die. If it date doesn't look like the image below it's no good period, no debate, no argument.
