Should I have this graded and risk shipping in the mail or try and sale it raw? And for how much?

That is a nice uncirculated cent and it looks like the others in your book are nice too.
If you are thinking it is doubled or valuable, it's not.
The doubled die looks like this.
What grade do you think it is, and what is it worth if graded in a slab at that grade?
To me it looks like it is probably uncirculated and worth a quarter or less. The grading process (assuming you don't have to join PCGS first and aren't combining with other submissions) would run about 100 or 200 times that amount.
There are some scratches to the left of Lincoln. If they are raised then they were in the die and are mildly interesting.

What makes you think that coin has any value? It is an extremely common uncirculated 1969-S cent.

My question is an attempt to find out what source the new collectors are using. Whatever the source is it seems to be leading them down the wrong path. Even thinking about submitting a coin like that makes no sense.

Well, I mean for a 69-S its a nice raw coin, but am I missing something?
it looks like there was 544,375,000 minted! (if its not the Double Die) so its a common strike?
There isn't anything about the coin that would attract the counterfeit world, so you could easily look on ebay and see what they're selling for, there is a good chance you might even find them being sold in mint rolls.

@Ryan1111 ... Welcome aboard. Your cent appears to be a normal, circulated coin and demonstrates no characteristics worth sending in to a TPG. Cheers, RickO
@Ryan1111 Welcome aboard! Why do you think it should be grade. What do you see that makes the cent special? I've got rolls of the 68s and 69s and this looks just like a nice uncirculated/ lightly circulated cent. Curious, what does the reserse look like. Can you post a reverse photo?
