    Yes they do. I had a Morgan go from MS65 to a MS67. Sent 19 in 18 crossed seven with an upgrade. All older ANACS holders.

    I don't have want anacs slabs, but I do want to get one of the segs slabs I have graded by pcgs.

    Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.

    The coin I am looking at has an older ANACS holder. Will I get it? I won’t know for a couple of weeks.

    PCGS will crossover even in slabs like NNC. From time to time they have a crossover special. For some reason NGC does not have the same confidence; they will only cross PCGS coins.

    If in doubt, crack it out.... TPG's always grade raw coins.... ;) Cheers, RickO

    SEGS is treated as raw by most. I’d crack it and not waste money on the guarantee premium.

    If it crosses, they will send you back the white gasket with the old label attached.

    He's posted some upgrades from Anacs. I know a dealer who regularly submits to Anacs and has had occasion to call them on their undergrading on Morgan dollars, as he has been a dealer for over 50 years and knows how to grade accurately, sending them back for proper grades and getting them upgraded by Anacs. There is not much in the way in incentives for grading services to avoid overly strict grading.

    If you crack it out there's no paper trail for the IRS though. How you going to prove that MS63 you bought for $80 and sold as a MS64 for $120 is really the same coin? Glad I don't have to do the accounting for a coin shop!

    There are so many deductions why not figure all costs into the equation? Many of us are in this for the hobby enjoyment with a little profit here or there and are not looking to hide anything.

    Yes. I’ve crossed a few dozen, and many actually upgraded.

    So I am guessing these are the old holders with 6 digit slab number, what about old style but 7 digit slab holder?

    Yes, they were all older, 6-digit holders. Most of the upgrades were '+' upgrades, at the same grade, although several were bumped up a numeric grade as well. All of the coins were Barber quarters and halves, and Standing Liberty quarters, mostly in mint state condition.

    Yes, I've had several successful crossovers and one that graded higher.
