I checked out my credit union branch that I hadn't been to in awhile a couple of weeks ago. All they had were $17 worth of halves:
All rejected by their coin machine and turned into the teller. And she was glad to get rid of those and the seven Ikes.

The heirs knew nothing about coins, cared nothing about coins and only wanted to get rid of them by depositing them as quickly as possible. Great finds for both Joeycoins and SaorAlba!

Joey, you need to go into the bank and get their pizza order then have it delivered at your expense the next day. They'll go out of their way to save stuff you "might be interested in".

Forgive me for asking, I am VERY new. What does it mean when you get 40%ers?
Any half dollar made between 1965-1970 are 40% silver. Any halves made 1964 and before are made of 90% silver.
40%ers means that all the halves joey got were 40% silver made between 1965-1970.
There is an Extremely low chance of getting a business strike 1970 half in circulation as they were not intended for circulation, made only for mint sets.
