Need help identifying a coin.

This coin was brought to me by my son. It is between13mm and 14mm. Anyone have any ideas as to what it is? Thanks.

    Looks like an ancient Roman coin called the widow's mite which was a common small circulating copper coin used during the period of the Roman empire. For more information, check with the World and Ancient Coin forum.

    It does resemble the 'widow's mite' as @PerryHall stated. I used to see a lot of these at coin shows in the PNW when I lived there. Authenticity would need to be verified. Cheers, RickO

    These small bronze Roman coins are like the Lincoln cents of the ancient world and are common and relatively inexpensive. Hoards of literally thousands have been found. They are popular with the general public because they are inexpensive and can be easily marketed.
