I think it's a rotated clashed die. Not my series, but I've always liked die clashes

It’s an error, Flip over double struck, rotated in collar, VF 20 ish details. Cool coin worth a bit too
Maybe false dies but it looks ok to me

I take it back the denticals on the Obv look false die to me.

It looks real to me. Don't forget that the denticles were double struck without perfect alignment so they would be expected to look different than a regularly struck coin.

Try changing the title to double struck IHC
I’d love to know for sure either way
Looks like a legit flip over double strike to me.
Looks ok to me.
Very cool IHC.

It’s genuine in my opinion

That’s fantastic! What a wonderful example of the error type, even if it is circulated.

Very interesting error coin, and one in which I have no idea how it occurred. I am just surprised that it stayed in circulation so long.
OINK
I'm surprised that it circulated as long as it did before someone pulled it out of circulation. I guess people back then didn't care about such things as mint errors. Very neat coin and worthy of getting slabbed.

Really interesting error... and great pictures. Cheers, RickO
Thanks everyone for their expertise and opinions. At first I thought a simple clashed die, but the rotation threw me off. Sounds like it's worth sending in. Just a blind luck purchase. Thank you everyone for the opinions and advice.
nice find
