It should be a matte proof, like the few original Peace dollar proofs that were struck clandestinely.

I can't wait for the reverse proof, they will be a favorite for sure. I collect semi-numismatic bullion rounds from various mints so this is exciting.
I hoped I'd get a proof Morgan Dollar someday. Just did not think it would be under a $100. Is this considered a You Suck,
Heck I'll even bet it will grade out a proof 69 dcam. Now for a proof Peace Dollar never thought i'd ever get to own one of those. For a round a $100 ea, who says there is inflation

Martin. Take a look at the reverse of the 2006 SF Mint commemorative. Proof Morgan with an S mm. This was unloved when released but who knows now. 🙃

Like it. And yes I know it’s not the classic one. But it is better produced and if you had each type in 1921 I’m sure collectors at the time would choose the 2021 version. It’s just a better coin. However it was not made in 1921 so the classic collectors of course prefer the 1921 version. And yes I have way more classic ones the the new ones. But if they were issued at the same time I’d take today’s over yesteryears. And I don’t say that often
