Please help!!!!!!!
Somebody sold me three counterfeit Morgan silver dollars and I really need some advice on what steps I have to take in order to get my money back and possibly file charges against the coin shop I purchased them from

As mentioned the first step would be contacting the seller with the details of how you identified these coins as counterfeit. If they are willing to refund your problem is solved. Selling counterfeit U.S. coins is a felony.

I cannot contact them because they blocked me from doing so. I reported the issue with the app administration but still waiting for their response

It seems like this seller does not specialize in coins. They might have unknowingly listed a counterfeit Morgan dollar. That being said, try to avoid websites like Etsy, Mercari, Ecrater, and Wish, as they are teeming with Chinese counterfeits.

Debit cards are different than credit cards.
Generally the bank behind a CC gives buyer protection.

I’m here because I’m asking for help and if you want to comment just to comment please don’t because I take this very serious and I’m trying to do the right thing by exposing the person/persons who are selling these because I’m not the only one who bought Morgan‘s from them

So on the app they offer something called zip which is split up into four payments and you buy the item at 1/4 of the total cost and they pay the rest as you make monthly payments. That’s what I did

Can you claim a fraudulent purchase and stop remaining payments? I would contact my bank and see what your rights might be. Seems a tough path. I would also contact the feds(secret service) or any agency involved in current fiasco of Chinese counterfeits.

And I would like to tell everybody how much I appreciate all of the advice and comments. I also want to apologize for the comment I made about only commenting if you want to help I didn’t realize I was posting on this I also asked for help on Facebook But a lot of people were just being obnoxious and rude

It will be tough to get law enforcement involved even though it is a crime.
I would see if your debit card will stop the next payments. I would see if you can file a fraud report with the site where the seller listed them.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. People are offering ways for you and others to avoid being in this position. All I would add there is to use a credit card instead of a debit card.
P.S. - he blocked you for a reason.
He probably knows they're fake and has done this before.5 -

I had a friend who had a similar problem. [$2500] he contacted his local police who took a report and forwarded it to the seller's local police who arrested him.
Contact your coin issuer. Rules are different for different cards. Debit cards can be different than charge cards.
Contact Mercari. They can tell you what, if any, options exist through them.
Contact the Postmaster. They can take a mail fraud report.

Until this has been litigated, it is an unsubstantiated claim. We've had cases in this very forum where the other party came in and contradicted the story.
It also could be a mistake that gets corrected.

No I am not here for revenge I was simply trying to inform people that I had purchased counterfeit Morgan’s through this particular app but obviously I made a mistake by asking on this so I will go ahead and delete and thank you all for the advice

from PCGS' CoinFacts
here is a large image of a real and circulated 1882-CC - you can right-click and "open in a new tab" to see it in the larger size
by this era in coin die making artistry was fairly consistently high. if you are looking at awkwardly formed details that's a red flag.
