How to remove crud??

Is it possible to remove the crud without damaging the coins? Acetone didn't do the job. I paid $10 on feebay for the album so I'm not heavily invested but don't want to destroy them either.

A short soak in Acetone or Xylene will usually help if its just dirt or organics stuck to the surface. There are some good "how to" posts in the archives that will fill in the details and help you to be successful.
You also need to be aware that the surfaces under the crud may be different. The toning could be lighter/darker or it may have caused a chemical reaction. Hard to tell until you remove it, and once you remove it, you're stuck.
If it's part of the toning, reacted with the surfaces, or carbon spots, then you have to go the chemical route and I would strongly recommend NOT trying this unless you know have a lot of experience cleaning coins. It's very easy to screw things up
IMO, It's best not to mess with them unless you know what you're doing.
Some of it appears to be terminal toning that ate into the surface. If you remove it the pretty rainbows might disappear too. But if there is some crud or debris then maybe a long soak in mineral oil might help, but oil residue might have unpredictable effect on the pretty rainbows too.

From what I can see, you are likely better off to leave them as is... otherwise what may be exposed when the crud is removed, will possibly ruin the look of the coin... also, acidic solutions will possibly remove your colorful tarnish. Cheers, RickO
Acetone only. Then leave it alone. You may want to delete the extra pictures. Takes a long time to load

The field surfaces near the rim may have been damaged by heat, in which case it is not crud / foreign matter.
Easy just spend them
This coin is already damaged - knock yourself out
For small jobs get a Dremel . Larger issues get a divorce.
Those are nice colors but I don't think they can be conserved.
