Had nothing but problems at 12:01 - got through for 2 easily at 12:50 - go figure! Card already dinged by the Mint - Now the wait till December shipping.

...may tend to encourage enrollments (which are typically processed well before the backorder delivery date) in future years
...may tend to deter flippers to some extent - especially when there is wide chronological separation between enrollment deliveries vs backorder deliveries
...affords the mint a wider chronologic distribution of planchet acquisition and coin production
...is functionally the same as a 'pre-order' for future delivery of product
...could become the new normal in mint sales
