Have you ever seen a dmpl peace before?

Neither have I, but these ebay sellers seem to find a worn and dipped to death peace dollar and call it a dmpl like this one
https://www.ebay.com/itm/393536381847?hash=item5ba098a397:g:-~wAAOSwiuRhKUfL

When will ebay get rid of junk like this?

Hell I have never seen a true PL either even after handling a few graded as such. They were always more glossy than flashy (if that makes sense) and the couple with true mirrors were maybe 1in deep if that. I did sell a flashy 26s for 1500$ but it was a motivated buyer who offered first. I would have taken 500$ all day as it was really just a 26s is 63 with excessive die polishing

I had one that I sold on EBay as a novelty item.
I had purchased it near melt and it wasn’t too bad, considering it was altered to create the effect.
I was trying to locate my old photos of it to share, but can’t find them on this device.

I agree, every coin collector should stay away from the largest coin market on the planet, especially if they cannot get past a title and look at the coin for what it is, not what it is portrayed to be. They should never bother looking at a raw coin, if they are unable to distinguish cleaned from original, grades that represent the coin, not what is offered as descriptive verse. These people should only buy slabbed coins from the most well respected slabbers with additional certification as it would be wasted on them to proceed unprotected. Then, that's my opinion.

Have I ever seen a DMPL Peace dollar, no. Slightly prooflike, yeah, maybe, but not one that would meet TPG criteria.

    This coin? Yeah, right.

I love that toned/dirty look that brings out the details in circ coins. Mmmmm
