    @ZoidMeister.... Reference the OP... I have panned gold in the streams in Grass Valley... But the nugget I found was not octagonal :D Cheers, RickO

    Wow, that brings me all the way back to 1974. There were plenty of Go Pre shirts supporting Steve Prefontaine at Oregon.

    At the time I was at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and a house-mate had a bunch of Stop Pre shirts printed up as a joke. I got one and wore it often but it finally hit the rag bag about 10 years later. (not sure if the one that Steve is wearing is from that batch or not). One night we were out on State Street hitting the bars and a guy stops me and says he is best friends with Lasse Viren who was an Olympic gold medalist in long distance running at the time. Naturally, this guy liked the Stop Pre shirts and drank with us the rest of the night.
