What I suspect is happening: the first post succeeds in creating the new discussion but is returning a 400 error so the JavaScript is likely indicating an error. Because the feedback is indicating an error, you re-try. Whatever was causing the 400 error doesn’t trip and everything looks fine but two posts were actually created. Since it’s indicating a validation exception it could be that something expected didn’t get set correctly or checked correctly. There will probably be a board software update to fix it at some point.
Just updated a PCGS Sample thread - hit save, got the error, cancelled it and reopened the thread - my revision was saved.

We have submitted a support ticket to the forum software provider and are waiting to hear back. Thank you all for your patience.
