Realistic Value for Circulated Ikes and Kennedys

I might get an opportunity to go look at someone's collection/hoard of Ikes and Kennedys. I have been told that most likely all were pulled from circulated but possibly there might be some 40% items there.
As far as the Ikes what would be a decent value on them? Heck I have a partial roll of 18 on my desk that I was thinking of just spending but I know they have a slight premium so I was thinking of maybe $1.25. Of course there has to be a channel to dispose of them.
And with the Kennedys unless they are 40% if they are circulated I would say 50 cents since I can go get a box from my bank at that rate.
Am I off base here? Thoughts?

Sounds about right.
Face value.
If not silver, or 40%, most are spendable. Check your Redbook for the few (in high grade) that have value. Cheers, RickO

I buy em for 5 back of spot and sell em for 3 over.
You can sell them for $1.25 but they don't sell quickly.
So I would pay $1.05.
I wouldn't even offer. Suppose you get them for face value- you still have to do something with them. Sell them? Who will buy? Spend them yourself? Unless you like confusing people, why bother?
JMO, YMMV.
You can still order bags/boxes of IKE's at some banks.
Unless you find some 40% silver IKE's or Kennedys...face value for the rest.
If you have a $1 slot machine?
maybe you need more seed money
Pass. They are a big waste of your time.
I know I'd pay hundreds for a worn-out, problem-free (gradable with PCGS) 1974 Ike.

So far, I bought around 12,000 circulated Ike dollars in the past year with around 10,000 coming from a single Florida dealer who informed me that he bought them right over the counter from customers and never looked at them. In there were plenty of Unc. Pieces as well as coins from 1973, 1972 Ty 2 coins, etc. so it was “fresh” as represented. Obviously, fresh deals of “circulated” pieces are worth way more than picked through circulated junk. On fresh deals, I am a higher buyer in the $1.35 - $1.40+/coin range. If the deal contains a 1974 worn down coin for Braddick, I’ll pay even more for the lot and give that coin to him at our planned dinner in about a month or so when I get back to CA.

I use the Ikes I have for tip jars usually. Too much trouble spending them. I don't want to have to convince cashiers they are legal tender.
Thanks for all of the feedback, my original thoughts seem to be about correct in that the Ikes just are not worth alot. If a PO 1974 is in the group I'll try to pick it up and I have a list of the other rarer Ikes that I'll memorize. The Kennedy's do have some hope as if they were truly picked out of circulation there is a good chance for some 40%.
Really just doing this for something to get me out of the house and since I have never really evaluated a collection / hoard this would be a good place to start as the Ikes and Kennedy's are pretty straight forward. And who knows where it will lead...
Oh...and apologies again about the original multiple posts...I see several folks had the same problem after me...do I get credit for an error discovery?

Pass. Let circ Ike’s and Kennedys and (maybe) 40% be someone else’s headache.
