Here's one I recently had certified. It's ccw 'D' low. Present owner says he's proud to own this coin, which cost me $1. No, I didn't cheat a little ole grandpa out of their '14-D for only $1.It got a Details Good grade.

I started out as a collector with the two Whitman Lincoln Cent folders, but lost interest in the set in favor of Indian Cents, Type coins and gold. Around 1980 I decided to finish my "boyhood" collection with the few pieces I didn't have, which was most all of the key and semi-key dates. I bought coins that went with the rest of the collection, which was and still is housed in a "liberty of Coins" album.
So, here is my very pedestrian 1914-D cent bought circa 1980.
And here is one you DON"T WANT TO BUY because it used to be a 1944-D

Real nice ones! I've noticed that a majority of 1914-D Cents don't exhibit this kind of sharpness as struck.

The only Lincolns I still need are 1914-D, 1909-S, 1922-D, and 1924-D (I have the SVDB). Good chance 1914-D is my last coin. Like seeing your guys' coins.

No, in my opinion that is 65 brown all day long.
No worries. It is the crown jewel of my counterfeit collection.
XF45 has for a long time been my favorite grade.
I have a PCGS VF30-CAC to post image of but I can't locate the image right now. All of the countless hours of metal detecting in Denver Colorado back in the day and I didn't find a single example of '14-D cent. Found several '14 Philly issue cents,'14-D quarter and dime but no 1914 penny with the magic 'D' on it.

Can this be "restored" it has corrosion. Unfortunate rim damage.

It's toast. When posting pictures, try to post both sides of the coin.
I think I'd rather have that corroded one in the album.
A little reverse damage but.........seeing it's the only one I have, it's my best - LOL!

MOS0231: It's corroded on both sides. I'm going to get a better grade of coin for the 1914-D spot. The album is complete, now I'm going through and upgrading.

A plus, in my opinion, is a coin that doesn't have too much gunk hanging around the date and mintmark.
