Friday Fun: 1940-s Walker GTG Grade Revealed

Grade is MS-66+. For those of you that said 66, you are good! For those of you that said 66+ and didn't peek, PCGS has a job for you! Coin has not been to CAC, but I think it has a shot.....We'll see if I ever get around to sending it off. Thanks guys for the nice comments....It does have a good strike for the issue.

Great example. I like 66+. Strike weakness is typical. I would like to look at a larger image (but won't since that is cheating). Looks very clean. Polish lines usually help with luster and this one looks like it has plus luster. A pretty tough date.
Thanks for posting!

I was leaning towards 67. Everyone will cheat with the cert # there.
I am not going to cheat. I will go with 65+CAC. That is one amazing Walker. That is the coin/series that got me into collecting.

Great strike for that date. First thought was 66, but possibly higher.

Honor system today....don't look. Use your grading eye!
Well above average for the date in terms of the strike. The 1940-s seems to have a great surviving population of MS coins with incredible die polish. Should be in the 66-67 range

Looks clean and lustrous. For some reason it doesn't scream 67 to me, so I'll go with 66.
I'm thinking 64.
Edit: Now, I'll go check to see how wrong I am
66 CAC is my guess. Very clean fields excepting the die polish. Only a few little marks on the legs. Very nice!

I want to say 67 from the TV pics but seeing they aren't always "True" I'll say easily a 66

Late again (seems to be the theme for me today).... A very nice WLH and deserves the grade. Cheers, RickO
