Free silver at the Wendy's drive thru today!

Went through the drive thru and luckily paid cash today instead of plastic. The young cashier guy handed me back my change. Some of the coins dropped out of my hand onto the ground. I wasn't going to pick them up but decided to open my door. First coin I saw was the Mercury dime, picked it up but left the modern Lincoln on the ground. B)

    I keep having dreams that I find a buncha old coins in a payphone or something. I'm always happy to be finding silver. When I wake up, no silver, but still not a bad dream.

    I’m doubly envious. I don’t know that I’ve ever gotten a Merc in change and our Wendy’s burned about 2 weeks ago and is probably a total loss.
    I’ll never get my money’s worth out of that Frosty key tag now.

    Nice.... silver in change.... Lately it has been scarce... Some silver (Roosevelt dimes) in the Coinstar, war nickels in change. Have not had a Merc in change yet this year. A couple last year. Cheers, RickO

    Very nice! No luck on finding silver for me. I somehow got a Canadian penny as change a while back, which I found astonishing since I am no where near the border.

    I can remember getting Bermuda One Cent "pig" coins in change at the grocery store, when I used to live in Northern New York state. Another case of astonishing monetary finds.

    A silver dime found at Wendy's ought to be enough for a large order of fries....

    Some rolled under the car, not much room to reach them between the door and window. And also the lincoln was tails side up. :#
