Hi guys,
While cashing in my change at the bank. I ALWAYS take a gander in the trash can next to the machine. Well, here ya go again. Yes, money thrown away! Lol. Not only literal American money (coins) but "SILVER"! Oh well, I'll take it. 
I'll check for any varieties later.

I've seen coins in the bin next to the coin counter at my bank too. Sometimes I take them other times I'm just too embarrassed to reach in there with a bunch of people around. Nice find.

I feel the same way when I see Canadian dollar coins or British pounds in the trash.
The machine at the supermarket does not have a trash can by the side. Nor at the mall.... Not sure what people do with their rejects, other than pocket them. I have picked up a couple of coins on the floor by the machine. Cheers, RickO
I don't think that anything remotely compares to what happened to a dealer (Fred Weinberg?), who accidentally threw away a Stella. If anybody wants to go landfill diving.....
