Grab a drink and relax for a bit...Making money at the mint in Philadelphia...

Someone in a another forum posted this...and kudos to them for finding a video even I've never seen yet!
It's too good...had to share this.
Basically unedited coin p**n. Am I allowed to almost say that?

Pretty cool. I had top fast forward through some parts but I saw a good bit of the entire thing, maybe 10 minutes of it. I can see why there might be injuries at the Mint and I can see why coins for circulation don't all show up as MS70 by the time they reach us.

He who knows he has enough is rich.
I need to watch the video as I have a certified "Struck Thru Duct Tape" mint error wheat cent.
If anyone is wondering way so many bag marks are produced at the mint. There’s your answer. Why they have the hopper so far away from the bins is beyond me. Those coins are pounded before they even leave the mint.
Thank you for sharing this even though it’s pretty boring .
I watched it in its entirety. Interesting. I don't know how anything would ever grade better than MS63 after all that handling. If that level of inspection was around a hundred years ago I can see how most major doubled dies were caught before they ever left the Mint, too. Certainly at least a few escaped is certain since they exist today. I know the 1955/55 cent was caught but I believe it was decided to release at least a few of them anyway.
