Nice to see such appreciation of these scarce, scarce holders.

    That's over a $750 premium for the plastic .

    Wow .

I saw that coin. It realized almost double what I thought it would. I wasn't interested, because it was a 62. I never would have paid THAT much, anyway.

I tried to snipe it with a $601 bid in the final seconds but the price was already over that amount by the time I hit submit. As much as I want a 2.1, that was my limit.

You were smart to back off. You'll get a better one, someday, for that much or less. IMHO.

A currently trendy coin with trendy plastic with decent skin has little in common with the avg wedgit that the price averages are based off of. I wonder how much of this is the holder its self or their proximity to the fabled black holders

Thanks for the positive reinforcement, @Walkerfan. To sooth the pain of losing, I picked up this Walker in an OOB holder after the 2.1 auction ended:

You’re welcome. That is a very nice consolation prize, if I may say so myself. 😇 😉

Price doesn't surprise me given the current market. Much less and I'd think it went cheap.

There are only 5 2.1 Peace dollars on census . This new one makes 6 .
The more common 2.0 Peace go for about +/- $400 .

IMO will have to wait some time before another 2.1 Peace comes up for auction and it will not go cheap .

I agree too much $ , but that is what collectors are paying for them right now .

I thought it could have gone for $1,000 or a bit more . There are some collectors that collect type coins in these holders .

Too bad the holder is ten times cooler than the coin.

I am completely out of touch with the holder/slab market...Just not interested.... I have some old slabs, no idea what they are... and probably not the valuable ones. Since I do not sell coins - or slabs - likely will not find out. :) Cheers, RickO
