I posted the nickle in the new purchases thread and even shared the fact that a friend thought it might be a D/S
Well she's in hand now and with careful examination we have come to the conclusion she is an OMM 005 FS 515... She will be headed back to NGC on the first for regrading/attribution. I love buying cheap coins and finding out I got something special
here is the VV shot of the omm 005 and below my nickle

and of course the whole coin and slab lol..

Based purely on your picture(s)... It does not appear (to me) to be the D/S.... It does look as if it may be a D/D, if there is one, I have not checked. Again, pictures of these issues can be deceptive, so I could be wrong. Cheers, RickO

Did you look to see if NGC will recognize FS-515? Even if it is FS-515, it's not on the list of OMM's they will recognize.

I checked and was told If coneca lists it, they will certify it  So it will be headed in on the 1st (but thank you I hadn't thought to check)

Do you think the value of that coin is worth the costs of slabbing? It may be worth it if you just want to get it in a slab, tho.

In this case yes.. the cost is worth it as it will take it from a 65 coin to a $300+ coin so the value does exist to more then cover the cost...

Hope you actually achieve your goal, but one thing to check on first is the sold values for this very coin in MS66 condition. It appears to have sold in the last couple of months in the range from $80 to the highest $198. By the time you add in your costs to have it regraded might make it a little close. Best of luck.

I agree with Ricko, this looks to be a D over D.
