What is @HRH up to?

csanotescsanotes Posts: 476 ✭✭✭✭

I always got a tingle when I saw hrh post on a thread. What is he up to? Any sightings or rumors? I know his T206 auctions were a hit. Having a reply from him in my eyes was just as coveted as a yousuck.

He writes occasional articles for CoinWorld on market speculation. I suspect he spends most of his time as a dealer now.

Funny you started this thread! I just read the article about the beginnings of PCGS in the 35th anniversary article from the PCGS Rare Coin Market Report magazine. Is there some bad blood between him and PCGS? There is not a single mention of him in the article.

I have not seen any posts from HRH in a long time....Perhaps enjoying retirement and sipping Mai Tai's? ;) Cheers, RickO

sic gloria transit mundi overtakes us all. A few Mai Tai's are well-earned as both a a respite and a reward. :)

I don’t know but I thought he gave terrific coin collecting advice over the years

    ( and I don’t mean specific coins )

I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

My guess is that he's basking in his retirement and enjoying the fruits of his many years of labor.

His days are likely filled with coin collecting, fine food and drink, and some coin dealings (sales and writing) on the side.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

For the new members here, HRH is Home Run Hall which was David Hall's nickname. He was the one of the founders and president of PCGS several years ago.

He surely made up that nickname purposely to yield HRH (His Royal Highness).
